The story of Canute is fascinating - both in his rise to power (which this book documents) and how he consolidated his power base, using his wives, children and religion - and military prowess!

The 28 page book features maps, time-lines, character profiles and full-colour illustrations throughout. Although the illustrations feature mice, the history is kept factual.

I hope that in producing these books, it will help kids look a little harder at the history in their towns and villages.
